Acceptance
By downloading, installing, or using the Prism Minecraft client or launcher (the "Service"), you accept and agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). These terms are provided to you by Sona Softworks, LLC ("Sona"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
License
Sona grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and any license limitations displayed in the Service.
No reverse engineering
You may not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, decrypt, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code, algorithms, protocols, structure, or trade secrets of the Service, nor attempt to bypass or defeat any protections or licensing mechanisms. This prohibition is subject to any non-waivable rights under applicable law.
Restrictions
Unless expressly permitted in writing by Sona, you may not:
- Copy, modify, create derivative works of, or distribute the Service;
- Sublicense, rent, lease, sell, or transfer rights to the Service;
- Remove, obscure, or alter any proprietary notices or labels in the Service;
- Use the Service to infringe others' rights, commit illegal acts, or gain unauthorized access to systems.
Privacy
Use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy. By using the Service you acknowledge and consent to the collection and processing of data as described in that policy.
Termination
Sona may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violations of these Terms or for other lawful reasons. Upon termination you must stop using the Service and delete any copies in your possession.
Intellectual property
All rights, title, and interest in and to the Service (including all intellectual property rights) remain with Sona and its licensors. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, except where prohibited by law. Sona does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sona and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Service. Sona's aggregate liability for direct damages will not exceed the amount you paid to Sona for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim (or $0 if you paid nothing).
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Sona harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.
Changes to these Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We will post the updated date at the top of this document.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Sona is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Contact us if you need a specific governing jurisdiction to be specified.
